Federal Environment Agency - DE

DESCRIPTION

“For our Environment” is the mission statement of the Federal Environment Agency (UBA). Founded in 1974, the UBA is Germany’s central federal authority on environmental matters. Identifying tomorrow’s problems today, the UBA sees itself as an early warning system, which detects potential future adverse impacts on mankind and his environment in a timely fashion, assesses associated risks, and offers proposals for practicable solutions. To that end, experts at the Agency carry out in-house in addition to commissioning research projects for scientific institutions in Germany and abroad.

UBA & RESOURCE EFFICIENCY

UBA is committed to resource protection and efficiency not only with respect to raw materials but especially with regard to the environmental media air, soil and water. At the international level this commitment is reflected in its past involvement as a Lead Partner in the Central Europe Programme funded project Act Clean.
