COMPETENCE PLATFORM

The Bioenergy Implementing Agreement of the International Energy Agency (IEA)  strongly supports the substantial contribution of bioenergy to the recent and future global energy demands. The National German Bioeconomy Policy Strategy drawn up under the co-ordination of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) aims at increasing the use of sustainably produced biofuels to provide an essential alternative to other fuel raw materials in use while contributing to climate protection and reducing the dependence on fossil energy sources. BMEL is hosting this international conference, on which the status and the perspectives of the global biofuel market will be discussed with experts from politics, administration, business and science.
